PV Groups

PV groups enable the creation of random cluster of process items within the FlowChief system. PV groups can be applied in various FlowChief functionalities, such as Charts, Manual Value Input, Archive Value Export or Message Archive.

This is how individual lists of process items can be configured independent of the aggregation in the plant tree.

The configuration of PV groups allows to deposit module specific parameters, such as the y-axis for the metering range for charts or the background colour of the chart presentation. PV groups are available in all client modules, unneeded parameter will simple be ignored.

Process items can be explicitly saved to a PV group and are therefor static. Alternatively, process items can be located dynamically by their properties (plant tree, tag or medium).

PV groups always have an owner (FlowChief user) but can be published for certain user groups or accessed system wide, which will provide access for even more users. Only the owner or a system administrator can publish and edit PV groups.

FlowChief offers a simple administration of PV groups. A list of PV groups is available which contains the options to easily create new PV groups or edited by multiple selection.
